one more week

In only 7 days we will get on a plane, travel halfway around the world, and be given two little lives to nurture and love forever after.

It's a little bit crazy to think about it that way. We've completed all of our paperwork, jumped through all the hoops, attended adoption classes, had people come to inspect our house. And yet I'm not sure I feel prepared at all. None of those classes explained how to take care of a baby. Our learning curve will be steep.

Then again, having twins will be the only thing that we know. It will certainly be a challenge, but we won't be able to compare it to having a singleton. And they will have each other to look at and say "wow... our parents are crazy".
