no more obstacles

so now there are officially no more obstacles in the way of accepting a referral when it comes. At first, we were concerned about having the right amount of cash on hand. Adoption is a pricey venture, and we're paying out of pocket, saving as we go, so we had to be sure we would have enough money when our referral came. We finally do.

Next, we were very concerned about my mom's health. I admit that in her last few weeks of life there was some sense of urgency about us getting our referral so that she would be able to see her grandchildren before she died. Now that she's gone, there's a bit of relief in that we aren't waiting on pins and needles for the impending call of doom. We're all very sad, but her passing also allows us to be able to move forward with our lives and live them inspired by her.

Finally, we have been waiting for Jon's company to figure out what they were going to do with him long term. On Tuesday he got a job offer for a dream position that we hope will end up being far more lucrative and exciting.

Now with all of the little obstacles out of our way, we're totally ready for the damn phone to ring!!!
