here comes peter cottontail...

Easter was a huge hit this year. We started out by colouring easter eggs. Izzie made the mistake of thinking that the eggs were balls, and launched her first one over Elijah's head and onto the floor.

On Sunday morning, the easter bunny had paid a visit and left them a ridiculous amount of sugary candy, and some pretty cool little toys. They especially loved their new sunglasses.

Next came the easter egg hunt. Unfortunately we couldn't do it outside because of the foot of freaking snow that was dumped on us the previous day. The living room was a sufficient alternative. Izzie took pleasure in the one egg that she found, taking it from person to person to show off her prize. Meanwhile, Elijah ran around the room finding every other egg we hid, and demanding "more eggs" when he had exhausted his search options.

We met Jon's family for a lovely brunch. On our way out, we saw the Easter Bunny. The twins weren't really sure what to think of the gigantic white rabbit. They enjoyed standing 50 feet away and yelling "hi bunny" across the room. They even blew him a few kisses. But when they were asked whether they wanted to approach said bunny, the answer was an emphatic "no" and they both turned to flee.
